Allison Burke realized that hairstyling was her path at a young age. A creative person at heart, her hobbies include sewing and interior decoration, though Allison found her calling in the professional hair salon industry. She received awards from Blackpool and The Fylde College in England before immigrating to Spruce Grove in 2004 to be closer to family.
“I have been working behind the chair in Spruce Grove building a large client base,” Allison says. “After my daughter Maxine qualified as a fully licensed stylist and entered into the industry, we decided to open our own salon.”
Studio Max opened its doors in November 2008, relocating to its present location in September 2013. Maxine is the manager and on-site treatment specialist. “We pride ourselves on looking after people's hair,” Maxine says, “from healing it to making it look its best.”
