I have been coming here for years and have never had a bad meal. Ever. I am quite suspicious of the bad reviews that are written as I hve had several of the dishes offered and all were excellent. Spring rolls are always delicious. Am heading back there after I submit this review.

This review is for early December 2010. Group of about 12 people for lunch buffet on a weekday. I believe the total cost with a pop was about $14 each including tip and tax so that was great.
As in my other review, we felt like Kingston had no decent Chinese until Panda Garden came along. We've had buffet there several times as party of two but this was the first bigger group. We had called ahead for a table, which was smart as the place was full for lunch.
The buffet for Panda Garden was always impressive for variety and regular turnover/top-ups of the hot dishes but they expanded a couple of years ago to try some basic Thai and sushi dishes. The Thai and sushi are not the world's greatest but they are fine and nice for variety and that's ok because Kingston has so many other specialty restaurants for that if you want it.
The variety of ice cream and desserts, as mentioned in other reviews, is impressive though we rarely make space for it in our multiple tours around the hot and cold stuff.
What we enjoy about the buffet are:
- wonton soup with green onions on the side if you like to add them
- egg rolls
- sweet and sour chicken balls
- General Tao chicken
- other beef and vegetable dishes depending on what's there that day
We find going in around 4:30-4:45pm on weekdays when the dinner service is getting started is ideal. Everything is fresh and hot and not as crowded as it is at 5:00pm or later. We haven't had a problem with food sitting around but then we don't try to go for buffet at mid-afternoon either.
We have always found the buffet servers to be pleasant and efficient with taking away dirty plates, topping up soft drinks and preparing the bill. Atmosphere is clean and pleasant with ample space to walk around with plates of food.

Based on the reviews of this place, we decided to give it a try. The restaurant is really small, probably only about 10 small tables. The servers are very kind and attentive. It was a tad confusing as we had about three different servers throughout our lunch. The sushi chefs were not very kind, they seemed a bit put out, as if they didn't enjoy where they were. The seaweed salad and miso soup are amazing! I loved the way they decorated the plate for the seaweed salad, very cute! The sushi was really good, it came out quickly and it tasted delicious. I highly recommend the K-Rock roll, it is deep-fried to perfection! The only thing is that the K-Rock roll is about $12.95, but for eight pieces, it isn't too bad. Our total came out to $83 for four people, a tad pricey but, we polished all of the sushi, it was that good! I highly recommend this place, not only is the food good, the servers are very kind. Awesome sushi!

I've sampled their large menu a few times, but for some reason avoided their Chinese food items until one day.. I have to say my favorite Chinese Take out style in Kingston is East Side Village.. I'm very impressed! ..

I am practically a regular here now. I go twice a month minimum. The first time I came here I have to admit I was afraid to try some things but we ordered off of the all you can eat menu and I was amazed at how much they offered and especially for me since I won't eat anything raw. Go for lunch during the week if you can to save money @ 13.99$ a person rather than 21.99$ on nights and weekends for the exact same thing. Overall a delicious option.

Ce lieu apprécié est ouvert en soirée tous les jours de la semaine. L'accès est facile par transport en commun, ainsi que par voiture. Le quartier avoisinant est prisé pour ses nombreux marchands.

Golden Viet Thai est un restaurant convivial. L'ambiance de cet établissement est décontractée. Golden Viet Thai Restaurant est ouvert en soirée tous les jours de la semaine. Vous pouvez vous y rendre aisément par transport en commun et vélo et venez courir ce voisinage entraînant reconnu pour sa vie nocturne.
Venez déguster un délicieux repas chez Sima Sushi. Au menu une variété de sushis, sashimis et makis, dans une gamme de prix allant de 11$ à 25$. Venez profiter d'une atmosphère chic et décontractée. Sima Sushi est ouvert en soirée le lundi, mercredi, jeudi, vendredi, samedi et dimanche. Vous pouvez vous y rendre facilement par vélo et transport en commun. Ils sont établis dans un secteur ou l'on retrouve de nombreux restaurants et marchands.
