When Rob Stone-Curry came to visit his brother in Port Perry, he didn’t realise that one day he wouldn’t leave; that he’d meet and marry Christy, co-owner of several downtown core family businesses and that he’d become a partner in the enterprises. “Rob used to come by to see his brother here,” says Christy. “The Piano Inn was opened because we didn’t think that there was any upscale accommodation in Port Perry. Hands down, we’re at the best location in town. We’re on the main four corners so it was good business sense to open a hotel. We already had The Piano Café, which everybody knows.”
The Piano Inn has five stunning suites featuring the original architecture and pine floors from the 1885 building and relaxing pastel colour schemes. Each suite boasts a cozy living room area with flat screen TV and kitchenettes provide facilities for basic home comforts. They include a microwave, a Keurig coffee machine and a refrigerator, making the accommodation convenient for business people, visitors enjoying a short break and local people who have company needing somewhere to stay.
