Summer just isn’t summer without a great drink in your hand and a view from a rooftop patio. Although Edmonton doesn’t have many well-known rooftop patios, these are some that are worth visiting. Be sure to grab the best seat in the house and soak in all these incredible views have to offer!

Fairmont Hotel Macdonald

10065 100th Street, EDMONTON AB T5J 0N6

This is a great place to have a lovely glass of champagne, and enjoy the view of the incredible grounds. Situated near Louise McKinney Riverfront Park and the North Saskatchewan River, the views are spectacular. And, with the rich, century-old history of the hotel, this place is definitely a patio you need to sit on at least once each summer.

O2's Tap House & Grill

1
8217 104 Street NW, Edmonton AB T6E 4E7

This rooftop patio has an awesome view of Old Strathcona, amazing cocktails and great patio sofas for lounging -- what more could you want? Oh right, food to go with those cocktails. They have some awesome choices, including achos, wings, steak bites (delish!) and house-made guac and chips.

The Black Dog Freehouse

2
10425 82 Ave NW, Edmonton AB T6E 2A1

Located right on Whyte Avenue, this is a fun hang out on a nice summer day or night. They always have fun DJs, music and bartenders to help set the mood. Set yourselves up at one of the tables or on a bench, and take it all in.

Craft Beermarket

3
10013 101A Ave NW, Edmonton AB T5J 0C3

With a great view of the downtown core, and plenty of high top tables and seats, CRAFT offers one of the best rooftop patios in the city. And, with more than 100 beers on tap, how can you go wrong? But beware of the crowds in the summer, as this is the place to be.

On a cold, snowy Edmonton night, nothing says lovin’ like a cup of hot chocolate. It’s no surprise this drink was originally dubbed the “elixir of the gods.” Regardless of the variety you select, or whether you opt for the simplest hot chocolate on the menu, all I can say is ... don’t forget the marshmallows.
You don’t have to travel to Paris to have a true fine-dining experience; you can enjoy an upscale dinner, complete with a five-course meal and fine wine, right here at home. Victoria is a fine-dining destination with an excellent reputation – where talented chefs enjoy crafting delicious gourmet dishes from fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Paired with a nice cup of coffee or topped with a scoop of ice cream, pie is unbeatable comfort food. And yet it faces stiff competition from cupcakes as the city’s dessert of choice. Well, pie is fighting back with old fashioned deliciousness as well as new and tantalizing flavours.
