I hauled in an older Forte wheelbarrow that had a totally flat tire. Turns out the plastic rim had a small crease in it causing the tubeless tire to deflate totally. Scott at Princess took the time to fix me up with an inexpensive solution.... a tube for the tire and also spent about 40 minutes installing it. There is no way I could have done the repair on this tire which flopped around. He stabilized the tire with a cord and was very creative in his approach to a solution. Very grateful!!

I was in the Post Office yesterday and today and the same young gentleman served me. I have to say he is one of the most helpful clerks I have come across. He is pleasant, helpful and kind. I have vision difficulties and he was most helpful in serving me. Kudos to whomever hired this great young man!!!

When my dad had a stroke and my mother was not able to live alone I reached out to Home Instead from my home in Florida and they had 24/7 care in place for my mother by 8:30pm that evening (and it was a holiday weekend). Such peace of mind until I could get there to care for my mother and support my fathers recovery. So appreciative of the kind services of the caregivers.

I have had Freeman providing me orthotics since introduced by DrBob Stalker, one of Halifaxs leading sports medicine experts. Freeman is a very dedicated long distance runner himself and appreciates first hand the importance of orthotics. In addition, Lisa Wilson (physiotherapist) also recommended Freeman to me and I admire her International marathon experience. In a city with a disproportionate number of Thai restaurants, Baan Thai has always been my favourite. The old location was very cool, hidden in an alley, I had no clue what I was in for the first time I went. The move to Blower's made the place easier to find, and the food remained great.
Lunch specials from 11:30 to 3:000pm mean you can get a delicious filling meal for around $10. I am a fan of the green curry chicken made Thai spicy. The pad thai is also very good, and comes in a size that makes sure you won't leave hungry.
The previous reviews on this place are pretty polarizing, but I'm firmly standing my ground that this is a solid choice for thai food in downtown Halifax.
A few co-workers and I decided to check out Baan Thai for lunch, and although the place was very warm (it is summer after all), we were pleased to have ample cool water, great service, and a surprisingly awesome lunch served to us.
Service overall feels a bit formal and disjointed, but I'm going to chalk that up to cute cultural differences. As one example, we ordered an appetizer, it was brought, we ate it and then plates arrived for the appetizer. It didn't bother us because we didn't care about needing the plates in the first place, so onward we ate!
