From the moment I walked in I was treated with genuine care and warmth. The Empress Hotel is the icon of Victoria. For that extra special getaway I would recommend a night at this iconic property, a horse drawn carriage tour and afternoon tea. You can't get more Victorian than that! But seriously, this is a beautiful property (the rooms are a little small) but the history, design & atmosphere make up for the lack of size. Ask about the haunted stories!

This is one of my top favourites in Victoria. There is always something fun and delicious on the menu. The fish tacos are amazing. I like that most of the food is locally produced. Great ambiance and friendly staff.
