We adopted our puppy here a year ago and he was our very first family pet. I had many concerns on where to adopt, and whenever I visited the store the staff in Pet Habitat were always so kind and guided us through the adoption. Till now whenever we encounter a problem I don't hesitate to call Pet Habitat for help and they gave us just the right advice and solution we needed, such experts! The folks at In the Raw, Jill and Rob, and their talented team are simply the best to be found anywhere in Vancouver. Their knowledge and willingness to help and advise pet owners is fantastic. I truly appreciate all their support with my black lab Sambuca before she went to the big river in the sky at 14 years of age. Bless you.

They have a great variety of pet foods and toys, and the staff is helpful and friendly. I was pleased to see that they had good bags of seeds for feeding the backyard birds too! It's great to have a pet store I can walk to.

The staff are friendly, very knowledgeable about what birds are resident in Vancouver and when and more importantly what you need to put out to attract them to your yard. In addition, they offer an outstanding selection of every type of feeder you can imagine from a simple window ledge feeder through to a birds' version of an all you can eat buffet. But the products don't stop at feed and feeders. They also offer field guides, nature themed gifts, binoculars and all sorts of other products to appeal to the wild bird enthusiast in you. Even better...if you get really serious about feeding the birds in your backyard, like we have, you can stock up when the seed is on sale! By purchasing multiple bags they will keep a record of your purchase and let you come in and pick up a bag here and a bag there as you need it. The moment you walk through the door the wonderful smell of cedar and their friendly staff greet you. Just the most amazing bird store!! I’ve learned SO MUCH over the years about our local birds from the amazing owner Colin! They always answer my e mail or phone queries promptly and carry quality seeds and related products. It’s the highlight of our Nanaimo shopping trip!
