I have known Don for over ten years now. My son started taking guitar lessons with him when he was a little boy until he left for university this year. My son has been a student at Hy Notes for several years. He is very happy with his Teacher and the progress he has made has been excellent! Hy Notes is an Amazing School with very qualified Teachers and Staff. It has a wide variety of services to offer. The school is in a wonderful building and easy accessible location. I highly recommend this School for all your music requirements. It prepares you for RCM examinations which is world wide.

Durham School of Music is one of the coolest places to get music lessons at. They teach guitar, piano, bass, drums, sax, clarinet, voice and probably more!
They are located in a very nice area of Pickering Village inside a big converted house! It is very cozy. From my experience the teachers are always full of positivity and encouragement to their students.
The rates are affordable and the customer service is excellent. Highly recommended for your budding rock stars in the family!

Katherine breaks-down nuances of performance and theory with an ability to transform the seemingly complex into comprehensible sections for anyone to understand, reproduce and excel. Programs are customizable: a competitive and strict plan to one which is relaxed and taken at a leisure pace. Katherine is professional, warm, approachable and enthusiastic. Lessons are no-nonsense and candid so students benefit from their time with her--this is especially important should a lesson be short.

If you want excellant individualized music instruction, this is where you want to be. You get full attention, which makes you feel like you really are important! The instructors are way above average, quick witted, and adjust rapidly to each students needs. Im a student who started from scratch, and my son did too. Ill never look back, the best thing I did for us was guitar lessons at New Tech!
