nice decor, very tropical like~
my brother and I ordered small sized Pho /w our choice of 3 items in it, it came out fast and steaming hot~ Thai basil was really fresh, like they just picked them up from basil plant a minute ago, awesome~
we also ordered 3 skewers of beef Shish Kobab, mid-well interior was excellent and juicy~
we also ordered fried lemon grass chick wings, this is really bland, we had to add white peppers and hot sauce to make the wings eat-worthy, other than that, the wings are pretty juicy and moist~
finally, the reason why we won't come back to this restaurant is because there was a server cleaning the chop sticks on table at that night~ she dropped a chop stick on the floor (by accident), and she glanced at the fallen chop for a sec, and pick it up, and return it to the cleaned tray of chop sticks~ pretending nothing had ever happened~ that was so horrifing because we might be using the dirty chop sticks~ Yak~ triple Yak~
I mean, couldn't she just return the dirty chop stick in the "to be washed" bin and just get over it~ NEVER EVER return it to the tray of cleaned chop sticks~ this happened around 11:10 pm on June 1st, 2010~

i love their combo for 4 take out, the price also included taxes. The food might be a little grease, but that's typical for any asian take out places. Their portion is fairly large, and everything are freshly cooked. 100% recommended.

This is THE neighbourhood Chinese take-out place: I know of people who drive all the way from North Whitby to get take-out from here.

Went to DC with the child for open house and decided to look for lunch on the way to 401. We passed it and turned back as we didn't want fast food. It's a tiny place with 2 tables and 4 rickety chairs but we are happy we stopped there. The girl (owner's daughter it turns out) behind the counter was sweet and efficient. She made us 4 samosas & 4 shawarmas that were delicious and filling. The owner provided 2 free bottles of water for our 1st time there as well as a orange drink for the two guys ahead of us, also their 1st time. Friendly, fun and good food too. We put the tables together and had an excellent lunch. There's just no elegant way to eat shawarmas so you need lots of napkins. Wouldn't want to eat there in the winter as it probably gets quite cold in there.

If you ever love baked, crisp , non greasy , the best tasting deep sea fish for health on the entire planet, go for the Portuguese baked Garoupa...... it is simply amazing with taste of cocunut, ginger, garlic and the rice is awesome... all baked and supremely delicious.... i beg of you to visit it..... we go there three times a week... btw google garoupa and see the health benefits of the fish which is not tainted by mercury etc...

my friends and I were looking for a Korean restaurant with fresh taste and clean atmosphere and Steeles Seoul House definitely delivered our wants! The food was really good and the staff was really friendly too! I truly recommend saeng sun jjim (fried fish with oyster sauce) and sam gae tang (whole chicken soup with ginseng)! it's definitely a must go place!!!

This is the place I go to all the time for dim sum, not only because the location is easy to bus/drive to, the service is always exceptional. The staff is friendly and the dim sum is really good compared to other medium-sized restaurants.
I also went to Best Dragon for dinner. I came with a big group of people so we ordered the set menu, which includes the Giant Lobster special, which is the best lobster I've ever eaten (I probably can't go back to small lobsters after this giant fellow) Peking Duck, Chinese vegetables, soup and many more.
Best Dragon is definitely a hidden gem in York Region. Again, I cannot emphasize enough about the Giant Lobster!!! It is the best seafood dish I have tried!

I've probably been here 3 or 4 times now. I keep coming back because the service is so good! Not to mention the food is fantastic (the complimentary crunchy soup is to die for). The last time I went, my table got the spider roll, seaweed salad, green dragon roll, spicy salmon roll, and some other roll (I can't remember the name). They were delicious! All was served in a sequential manner; we were served complimentary soup immediately as we sat down, then we ordered, after which we were served complimentary green salad while we waited for our rolls. We were never without food! With all that's included with the rolls, the value is really great.
Although it's not too impressive from the outside, the inside is pretty good. It's not fancy, but very laid back. I took my grandmother here for her first sushi experience, and she loved it. I had such good service today, that I had to give these guys some publicity! They deserve it. I'll definitely be back!
