Our party of 6 sat out on the patio for our supper on a beautiful sunny day at the end of May. The service was good and for the most part the food was ok except for two out of our party who ordered the hamburgers.
Its disappointing that they can't make the effort to make their own patties. Espcially considering our wait time. Its not like the food was served super fast. In fact, it took a while but we didn't mind as we weren't in a rush.
Anyways, the burger patties are the kind of processed "precooked" patties that you can buy in the frozen food section at a grocery store. Rubbery and very off putting. A disappointment!
I had the NY strip steak, not bad but I ordered rare and it wasn't rested when they served it. Not a big deal.
We also had the calamari, zuccini sticks and patotoe skins for appetizers. All passable but nothing to write home about.
I'd go back again for a drink and an appetizer but I probably wouldn't have a meal. I love the pub inside, very old school british pub feel. I think it would be cosy in the winter. The patio has a great view and is a nice place to go for a drink.

If you only have a one hour lunch then this is definitely NOT the place for you to eat at that time.
We arrived and it was busy. The place seems cramped but it appearred to be clean. We had reserved a table for noon and waited a while to get seated. When the waitress finally made it to our table we ordered drinks and our food at the same time. It took a long time just to get our drinks and a very long time for our food. It ended up being an hour and a half lunch. Most other restaurants in the area offer a quick lunch so people can get back to work in a timely fashion. This is where The Wood falls drastically short.
The food was good, this I will not dispute. By burger was juicy and cooked perfectly and the salad with balsamic dressing was fresh and nice also. Unfortunately the speed of service will have to keep me away from this restaurant.

I read all the reviews prior to making reservations there. It seemed to me that the bad reviews were from folks that did not know what to expect and were surprised when they got there. The web page is quite clear of the menu and venue. I saw it and was not surprised when I got into the restaurant.
We went for dinner before a show at the NAC. The server was at our table promptly and even asked if we were going to a show so that she could ensure our service and food would allow us plenty of time to get to the show. Very thoughtful and the service remained top notch throughout.
Our appetizers were great. Our dinners were very good, the fish was fresh, the steak was done exactly as asked, the duck confit melted in your mouth except for the crispy skin...which was perfect. The sides were appropriate for the meal and also delicious but the 3 root vegetable mash that came with the Duck was extraordinary and deserves mention..Some had desserts which were declared as a real treat.
We were in and out in time for our show but never hurried or short changed in our dinner. A very good experience overall. Pricey? Well, it was everything that was posted on the web page so no surprised at all. A very good spot with very good food and caring , professional servers.

My wife and went to the brick looking to purchase a bedroom set as well as a box spring and mattress. The sales lady that served us was Sheela Dabra a very knowledgeable person who knew her products and very willing to answer all our questions. This shopping experience was pleasant and yes we would come back,matter of fact my wife and will also be looking for a dinning set in the near future.

Jay and Rob fit my table install into their busy schedule on short notice. They were well prepared, efficient, clean, and professional. All at a good price. A tradesman myself, I was tempted to attempt the install on my own. So glad I didn't. Many of the nuts and bolts had damaged threads that needed repair. They made short work of this and every other step of the process. I'm certain, had I installed the table, the quality would be lower. I’m so glad I chose to hire Under The Table Billiards.

We had a very satisfying brunch. We had Berryman's classic and pancakes with freshly squizzed orange juice. They use organic eggs and locally sourced freshly made sausages. I also liked a fruit serving that it comes with. We'll be back for pizza.
