Across multiple locations, North American Lumber has consistently provided fantastic customer service. Unlike big box stores where its hard to find help, they have experienced staff who actually know what they're talking about. The transition has been quite seamless from Protelec to api. I recently had a service call by api to replace two obsolete smoke detectors and at the same time the battery was changed in my control panel with a full system check. As good as ProTelec was for more than 30 years, these elements should have been changed out long ago. This work was initiated by api. The service tech was on time, very courteous and competent. Overall I was quite pleased with my first real interaction with api Alarms.

The owner Mike is a standup guy. Needed a battery for my truck a couple years ago and they had the most cost effective one I could find. When my battery gave up again less than 2 years later he replaced it with a better one and with a longer warranty (he no longer carried the brand i had as he found a better supplier). I was expecting an upgrade fee but he didn't charge me one. He said he wants to take care of customers and will look after the warranty. Quality service and reasonable rates.
