If you only have a one hour lunch then this is definitely NOT the place for you to eat at that time.
We arrived and it was busy. The place seems cramped but it appearred to be clean. We had reserved a table for noon and waited a while to get seated. When the waitress finally made it to our table we ordered drinks and our food at the same time. It took a long time just to get our drinks and a very long time for our food. It ended up being an hour and a half lunch. Most other restaurants in the area offer a quick lunch so people can get back to work in a timely fashion. This is where The Wood falls drastically short.
The food was good, this I will not dispute. By burger was juicy and cooked perfectly and the salad with balsamic dressing was fresh and nice also. Unfortunately the speed of service will have to keep me away from this restaurant.

We wandered around Ottawa for an hour before randomly selecting Fat Tuesday's. We heard the piano playing and just had to go see what it was like. The restaurant looked great and the piano was excellent background music. We started our meal with the alligator and it did not disappoint. Afterwards we got the proscuitto wrapped chicken. They had a slight issue with some of the chicken being undercooked, however, it was quickly fixed when it was brought to their attention. When we received the cooked meal we found that it was definitely worth the wait. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Despite the small problem we would recommend this restaurant to friends and family and will probably go back.

I had a fantastic driver and speedy follow up service. I forgot to grab my receipt from my driver and the company emailed me back within moments when I asked for a digital copy of the receipt. Amazing service, would use again.

Had a fab poutine dinner and the scottish stout on tap is nectar of the gods....The service is always friendly and musicians bang out some good stuff. This is a real pub and I love it. I purchased a Rubinet faucet from Preston Hardware near twelve years ago. The faucet worked well until very recently when the spigot seized. I contacted Rubinet and they sent a replacement cartridge within days. Hesitant to replace the cartridge myself, I contacted Preston Hardware for help in doing so. I took the faucet into Preston Hardware this morning and it was ready for pick-up within 90 minutes. Thank you, Nuno for providing excellence in service.

called for appointment to clean heating system, wood/oil combo furnace and hot water tank, she was very pleasant to talk with, and the technician joey was very pleasant, answered all question respectfully and did a great job cleaning, was very thural. definitely use them again

Stayed in campground for one night Aug19th mist beautiful well cared park we have seen since leaving Florida very helpful people ,quiet and just a wonderful place to stay .will

Absolute pleasure to deal with ottawa valley handrailing. The entire staff was knowledgeable and pleasant. They finished my job on time and it is a beautiful art piece in my home. I would recommend them to anyone.
