I visited Sgt. Pepper's in AJAX this weekend with my husband and after reading the reviews I was really worried. WOW, were we surprised!
Perhaps there were changes made since the last reviews were posted: we had a friendly server who was very attentive throughout our meal, brought drinks quickly and was able to remember everything about our order and that of another table's without writing anything down.
We had the Calamari, Veggie Samosas, Burger with Fries and Steak Sandwhich with Peppercorn sauce. The calamari was lightly breaded and crispy without being oily, my samosas while not authentically "indian" had a really nice potato and veggie filling, served with sweet chili sauce. My husband said his burger and fries were really good.
I think a good test of a kitchen is how they handle something like a steak sandwhich. Mine was not the run of the mill piece of shoe leather I've had at other places. This was a tender juicy piece of beef that was actually cooked how I'd asked for it, served on a not-too-garlicky ciabatta bun and the fries were great.
I'm not sure what people expect out of the decor of your average burger join, but the booths were fine and the whole restaurant and both bathrooms were really clean. Overall, I'd say that this was a really good experience and I'm sure both my husband and I will return to this location.

The restuarant is spactacular. On Monday's they serve an amazing fajita. Not only is the food great but the service is just as great. The servers are focused, friendly, and welcoming. It's a great restaurant to go to any day of the week. If you have time definitly stop by.

Being from Ottawa, the Oak being down the street from us is a taste of home! Great atmosphere inside, quick service, and sweet potato fries to die for! We'll be back again, and often. Stay Irish, my friends.

Went to DC with the child for open house and decided to look for lunch on the way to 401. We passed it and turned back as we didn't want fast food. It's a tiny place with 2 tables and 4 rickety chairs but we are happy we stopped there. The girl (owner's daughter it turns out) behind the counter was sweet and efficient. She made us 4 samosas & 4 shawarmas that were delicious and filling. The owner provided 2 free bottles of water for our 1st time there as well as a orange drink for the two guys ahead of us, also their 1st time. Friendly, fun and good food too. We put the tables together and had an excellent lunch. There's just no elegant way to eat shawarmas so you need lots of napkins. Wouldn't want to eat there in the winter as it probably gets quite cold in there.

ordered pizza for family, cam with in 30 min, really good wings. Pot wedges are to die for. Pizza rice best in town.

outstanding...the food was incredible, very fresh, rolls were well put together and just a splendid assortment of items to choose from. The service was very good, they didn't miss one item of about 20 ordered off the all you can eat menu and they were quite pleasant compared to other Sushi restaurants I have visited. Atmosphere was also good, with a choice of open table or booth. I used to drive to Scarborough for good Sushi, I will no longer be making that trip. Well done to the ownership and staff at Tokushima!!!!
