The nursery has a down to Earth vibe and its staff are more informed than other nurseries in the area. Prices began to rise in the last 2-3 years but this place is still more affordable than Sheridan. Complaints about emerald cedars not living should not solely be put on the nursery but planting and watering. The staff are busy so getting special treatment is difficult (referring to previous comments)

Best place to buy flowers, herbs, tree's everything and the people that work there are friendly from the workers to the inside people very nice. I will definitely shop there again for all my garden needs,

The hanging planters & flowers are all beautiful & healthy. Some unusual ones that are hard to find are there. Staff are always so friendly & helpful.

I love coming to Vandermeer to look for plants. Even if I don't find what I'm looking for, it's wonderful to see the fish and very relaxing to watch the turtles lounging around. This is the place to shop in the spring and summer - such a variety of plants.
