If you have never been to the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts (my friends call it short: Cooking School), well you have to try it. The restaurant is located just at the entrance to Granville Island.
I went there recently and ordered the following:
Appetizer: Red Beet / Gravad Lox ($9)
Main Course: Lamb Saltimbocca ($19)
Wine:
Hester Creek Okanagan Valley, BC Glass ($8)
This meal was a culinary delight. Pricing is very reasonable in comparison to the big names here in town.

If its paper, and its specil, its here. Another of the gems of Granville Island, Paper-Ya is a terrific place to go for paper of all descriptions. Archival paper, art paper, origami paper, writing paper, note paper and paper cards they have all kinds on offer. For the more daring they even have the supplies you need to make your own paper.
