I recommend this restaurant is amazing. If you like quality food then the Choice of the Orient is the place to go! The service is great and the people are friendly. The prices are very resonable and you will want to go back all the time.

It was our first time and recommend by friends. We love the dinner for six. Lots of food for everyone and delivery was fast. The lady that I spoke to include the free General tso chicken for free. Awsome. About 8.50 per person.

I am a patron using a disbility device and while the restaurant is not "accessible" perse they do their best to make you feel comfortable. Now aside from that, I've been visiting this restaurant for roughly 20 years. My Mother and I found it a long time ago looking for a good Japanese restaurant that wasn't all the way downtown. The have great sushi, sashimi, tempura, teriyaki, soups & my favourite Japanese style salad! Decor could use an update but it's clean and comfortable. There's a hidden entry from parking behind the restaurant or the double doorway at the front. Last night I decided to eat in for the first time since becoming differently abled so to speak. I had the Legend Boston roll with crab, Japanese mayonaise and salmon topper. It was very rich so I suggest if you try this do it with several people so everyone can have a taste, it was lovely but too rich for just one person to demolish. I had the shrimp tempura dinner which has tempura vegetables with it. Last night the tiger shrimp were lovely and fresh and the mix of vegetable composed of squash, sweet potato, onion and broccoli were very yummy. They make amazing tempura sauce. The meal comes with salad, miso soup, rice and huge plate of tempura so again great for sharing! I took home a cucumber roll for my son but seriously considered their toonie Tuesday offer which is a California roll, max of 2 given the offer, but my son is new to Japanese os a simple cucumber roll. I have plenty left over for lunch and am hoping the tempura will crisp up under the broiler today! Thanks to A.J. & staff for making it a lovely experience with my needs ;o)

A few co-workers and I have been going here for lunch last several years. One of those places that is not much to look at but hides best kept food secrets. Lunch is a great value. Food is always served promptly and steaming hot. Service is very attentive and friendly. Will continue to go back - as are others judging from the same people we see week in and week out.

Amazing chili chicken here. One of the best in the city, at a price that likely can't be beat. Recently the price went up but you can hardly blame them for the excellent value that they offered previously and still continue to offer. A good amount of seating as well as parking in this plaza.

Have been to both locations (Ellesmere location & Steeles location, which just recently opened by the Scarborough NE Wal-mart Super Centre on Steeles between Middlefield & Markham Rds.)
Excellent Food, Great Portions, Friendly Staff, Extremely Reasonable Prices.
I definitely recommend this restaurant (both locations) for anyone looking for any of the above lines.

Katsura is tucked away in a separate, but connected, building right beside the main building of the Prince Hotel.
The food here is very good but only slightly better than the cheaper places in the area. The teppanyaki tables are good. The sushi is fresh. The prices are high and the portions are not particularly large.
So why would someone choose this place over its cheaper competitors? It's the decor and the service that makes this place stand out. From the moment you step in out of the snow, you are surrounded by tasteful Japanese decor. In the main dining area, the place is elegant, simple and to the point. The design allows large groups to eat in semi-isolation. This is the restaurant you impress your dining partner, be it a business meeting or a first date.

My husband and I have been a customer at the Oak on March Road since the first day they opened their doors. We have been patrons ever since, loved the staff for their friendly attitude, and the way they have cared over the years for their clients. Today this atmosphere has not changed and the staff, although younger are ever so caring and warm towards their customers. Cannot imagine going to a different establishment for a pub to relax in and enjoy the company of friends
