The pasta at Old Spaghetti Factory is good to eat and you get decent value for the money. The pasta can tend to be ordinary from the perspective of the selections but they put together good food and they offer a fun atmosphere and decor that makes them a good family restaurant for when you are downtown with your family. This place makes the best pizza I have ever had. The crust is perfect, just a little crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Plenty of toppings and always fresh. The service is friendly and fast. The price is a bit high but it's worth it!

This is a great Italian restaurant with good atmosphere for either a romantic outing or business lunch. Servers are friendly to kids, and they have delicious meals that are able to cater to even the most tastes. Their portions are generous for the price paid, and splitting a meal and appetizers will still satisfy most ravenous appetites.

This is my measuring-stick for good food in Vancouver. This is my awesomeness in a meal.
I've been here twice. Both times for my birthday. Both times the waiting staff were wonderful (even bringing out a birthday cake with my name on it), but even if they weren't, I'd come back here for the food.
This place is an indulgence - bare that in mind - you're not here to skimp with a salad, you're here to try amazing game done RIGHT.
I've had the venison, and I've had the wild boar. My mom has tried the game hen (so I had some) and I can't remember what else. It was so good that I honestly thought I should take it into a room and be alone with it, maybe buy it a drink and tell it how pretty it was before devouring it. Tender, succulent, rich, decadent - I don't think there are enough adjectives to describe how good the food is here, my tummy just growled because I'm writing this review instead of getting myself to DF's ASAP.
Honestly - the place is romantic - it's awesome for a candlelit anniversary dinner. The food is stupendous, and the service is excellent.
Now you see why they're my measuring stick, non?

We order from Hot Oven once a week. This pizza is deep dish. You get a huge amount of toppings for the money unlike the chain pizza places. All the toppings are fresh and you can taste the difference immediately. Even the crust is good with the honey glaze. I usually don't eat the crust edges from the chain stores but when I get Hot Oven I have to eat it all. It's that good. Do yourself a favor and support the little guy who still cares about quality! I can't bring myself to order from pizza chains anymore since we discovered this place. Only thing I'd like to see is a seafood pizza on the menu. I recommend the Orient duck pizza, Hot Oven Select or Tropic Thunder (if you like spicy).
