Went here yesterday with the family for brunch. Very casual atmosphere and terrific food. The service was fast and friendly. At this restaurant, you order and pay for your food at the till, then go to your table and wait for the server to bring it out to you. You won't be disappointed when the food arrives. Generous portions and tasty. We had bacon and eggs and pancakes. All delicious. Will definitely be back.

This is the best Thai food i've ever had, every dish was flavorful. Their prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. The decor is not that nice, but i'd happily give up fancy ambiance for delicious food and the friendliness of the owners. Would definitely go back.

My wife (we are newly weds) is an absolute sushi fan and will stop at nothing to get her sushi fix satisfied. She would eat sushi every day if she could.
We go to Richmond Sushi every month. It is costly but gets us the sushi we demand with true sushi technic and quality fish they import exclusively from Asia.
You can pick the fish and place a check mark and the wait will not be too long

I moved to Surrey 2 years ago and just couldn't find any restaurant that served good old fashion home cooked greasy spoon diner fare. I spotted Round-Up Cafe on a drive by and decided to pull over and try it out. They refurbished the chairs to a fabulous sparkly silver. It is cozy and comfy and very clean and the owners are extremely friendly. I ordered a soup for my toddler and a special for myself. I was surprised the special came with a soup and a desert which was nice for $12. Coffee is $2.10 and they only charge once and are excellent with refills. Food was 'just like grandma used to make' very tasty. Soup was a bit to peppery for my taste buds. My main was excellent but if you don't want gravy, you need to order it on the side or they pour it on. Coffee was excellent. My son loved the vanilla pudding - another unexpected surprise. The restaurant was packed at lunch on a weekday. This is a restaurant I would recommend Grandad to visit. Nice old fashion 1940s diner feel with good home cooking.

Considering this is a restaurant of a world acclaimed chef, the food is no more expensive than many Vancouver restaurants! Food and atmosphere are not compromised.

i've been going to OJ's for years--i'm glad it survived the Canada Line Construction. the food and service is good and this place gets busy for game time (football, Canucks, etc).

Maria's is a Kitsilano institution. The atmosphere is everything you would expect a Greek restaurant to offer complete with pictures of Greek scenery adorning the walls. The food is really good and even my wife who is not the biggest fan of Greek food loves the food at Maria's. I usually have what I had on our most recent visit...one of the souvlaki dinners. Our most recent trip I had chicken souvlaki and the chicken was perfectly tender and the potatoes and rice were great too. Next time you have a hankering for Greek food visit Maria's Taverna on 4th!

An excellent vegetarian buffet, a few staple dishes are always the same (dahl, aloo gobi, rice pilaf, lots of naan and pappadam) while a few dishes seem to go through a rotation. Dishes often taste a bit different every time, but always are delicious! Nice chai, and awesome gulab jamun for dessert too. The service can be a bit slow, but things have definetly improved over the last few years. A great spot for a yummy, convenient, filling meal.

love the prime rib at Keg! Service was attentive without being intrusive and our waitress picked us a great bottle off the massive wine list (they have a wine cellar). I heard they are switching to more liquor menu which is fine by me as long as the beef stays this good :) And unlike competition they have not gone small portions

My wife is a sushi expert. She has tried almost every sushi restaurant in the downtown vicinity on multiple occassions and quite often the staff will know who she is. That being said, I definitely trust her opinion on Sushi and right now this place is her favorite.
It is a small sit-down/takeout restaurant on Robson street and it is fairly new, and the sushi is fantastic. The salmon is always fresh and since they don't serve famred salmon it is always amazing. The miso soup is complimentary with a minimum $5 order and the staff are always pleasant. The only downside is they don't have any cooked food, it is purely sushi with some noodle soup options.

We arrived a little late for without reservations, but the restaurant had a table and seated us immediately (was a full house).
My dinner companion ordered a glass of wine (sauvignon blanc) which was delivered promptly. I had Shiraz.
We ordered the salade. The salad was crisp, fresh with crunch toasted walnuts, sweet roasted beets, and tangy raspberry viniagrette. The prawns were fabulous, seared tender and sweet, prepared with lemon butter, tomatoes and capers.
Our entrees were the New York steak and she ahd salmon. Both were very good, prepared just right with a light charred crust.
Did not stay for dessert, as we were out of time and had other commitments (hotel reservation) and a curfew.
Our server was attentive, without being intrusive, and very helpful with explaining the menu choices. Unfortunately, he was a he.
Room was dark, clean, lots of wood tones... room is a little packed, but acceptable because the darkness assured privacy.
