Best authentic Italian cuisine you will get in Toronto. Family ran, with warm service and lots of love and price put into the food. The marinella sauce is to die for! Everything fresh and made from scratch. You will not go wrong here!

Really like this place and have been here on several occasions, last month most recently. Very solid menu, very consistently prepared and served. I am a particular fan of their risotto.
Quite a pleasant atmosphere, casual and relatively subdued, but good enough to make you feel that dining out is an occasion.

My fiance and I love Giancarlo Trattoria!!
We try to eat here at least once a month and we always order the same thing! We have been fortunate to eat in some wonderful restaurants around the world and Giancarlo Trattoria is in our top 3!!

Love this place and it's food. They're cashier I believe they're in her name is Erica and she goes out of her way to make you feel like family and that's what keeps me coming back because of her great service and great food

Always a great experience coming to the Diplomatico. you'd think that Nonna was in the kitchen the food is so delicious and authentic but close enough the chef their Malic serves up his own signature style on a plate each and every time we come in.

Excellent and cozy restaurant in Little Italy in Toronto. The restaurant has a cute outdoor patio and fireplace. The staff was great, they kept checking up on us, gave us a complimentary dessert due to noise level that didnt bother us at all. The appetizers were delicious and the mushroom risotto with truffle oil was mouthwatering. The stuffed ravioli with butternut squash and pecans was rich and perfect. I would definitely go back or highly recommend this beautiful gem.

I'm not sure what these other people are talking about because I think this place is amazing.
They have three locations now, and as a loyal customer, I have visited all of them. Each atmosphere is a little different, the most recent addition at Yonge/Eglinton (Piazzetta #3) is the nicest. More importantly, the food is consistently amazing, not to mention inexpensive. My guests and I have never been disappointed. The pastas are always fresh and the pizzas are always perfectly thin and remind me so much of my trip to Italy. My favourites are the Calamari, Penne Primavera and Arugala Salad. But I also love the funghi pizza (which ALWAYS has lots of mushrooms). My partner loves the grilled salmon and veal chop entrees. Everything I've ordered has always been fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend!

Excellent and cute family owned restaurant in Little Italy, Toronto. We had the pleasure of celebrating sweet Nonna's birthday (chef) We recommend the bruschetta, caprese salad, pizza. The service was great and friendly, really enjoyed this restaurant. Great authentic Italian food. Will definitely be back.
