Historic building that is supposedly haunted, real pub feel, good vibe, friendly servers. Has a large and really cool cobble stone court yard patio that feels like you're sitting in the 1800's.
I don't eat here alot but the food is good, wings, nachos and standard pub fare.
The owners Marco and Angelo are class acts and always take the time to personally welcome regular customers back.
Its kinda like Cheers because they always know your name and they are always glad you came.
It gets pretty hopping at night and is a good spot for single guys and gals if you know what I mean ;)

I have been here twice while visiting. Both times I have ordered the honey garlic wings along with cheesy garlic bread. On both occasions the food was great! The wings are huge and the people are very friendly! I will be going back for sure!!

While in Stratford to see a play. we dropped in to the Boar's Head Pub. I had been there twice before, and thought my husband would like it too. Since we had had a late lunch we decided to have drinks before the play, and come back afterwards for something to eat.
About 6:30 pm, we ordered draft (a Strongbow for me, and Coors Light for my husband) and then switched to whiskey. I had an Irish coffee (needed the caffeine before the play) and my husband had a rye and coke.
After the play, around 11 pm, we returned. The place was rockin', with a live band and some people who had clearly spent the last 4 hours drinking! It got rather loud, but the music was good.
I had Strongbow, and my husband stuck to rye and coke. The wings were very good -- big, meaty, lightly breaded, and with the right sauce. My husband had honey garlic, and I had hot (the server said it was Frank's Red Hot sauce, which was what I was looking for). There were 7 wings in a one-pound order, with a few carrots and celery sticks and dip, for $8.95 .I would definitely come back for the wings.
The servers were very friendly and attentive during both visits. There were 2 servers who regularly stopped by to check on us, and who made us feel very welcome -- one of them recognized us when we returned, and warned us about the drunks who would be dancing when the band returned from break (she was right!).
As far as pubs go, this one is great -- good food, lively atmosphere, good choice of draft, and great location on one of Stratford's main streets.
The Boar's Head is within easy walking distance of the Tom Patterson Theatre, and slightly farther to the Avon and Studio Theatres.

Excellent meal.
Service was great - waitress was fun and checked on us every so often to see how we were doing.
Food? Delicious! My burger was great, and the rest of my family thought good of the restaurant as well.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The old-fashioned chalkboard written deals and combos scattered across the restaurant felt like good-old home.
I tell you all, this is my new FAVORITE place to eat. I had a bite of chicken fingers, too -- HeAvEnLy!
If you decide to dine here, you won't be disappointed, I guarantee it!
Let me tell you something, I don't hand out 5 stars like candy, but this place really deserves it. Well done, Gabby's!

great bluegrass on tuesdays! its a little pricey beer wise but they have great stuff on tap! the back patio is really nice also.

Great food, great prices, great atmosphere (whether inside or on the patio), great service!
What more can I say? I love the variety of the daily specials as well.
The one problem is the rude, older gentleman server with the goatee-like facial hair. He's rude and sarcastic, but I try to avoid his section!

We've been there numerous times and the food is great....especially the hand cut fries, which I am very picky about.
Off track betting for the horse races, numerous tv's and a small patio are also available.
Very good service as well!!

The nachos are to die for, and I don't even like nachos very much.
The menu was severely limited due to the incredible business that is Pride Week, and I was at a stretch finding something vegetarian and to my liking. After being told that they were accepting no substitutions (understandably, but I just wanted no mayo and onion on the veggie burger), I went with my second choice, the curry. I wasn't expecting much, but it succeeded my expectations. Not fantastic and it needed more than a sprinkle of salt, but pleasant nonetheless. Co-diners raved about their nachos and pulled pork.
Service was a bit scattered due to business, but were very friendly. When a beer was brought to our table that wasn't ordered -- but welcomed! -- he let us have it on the house. Blanche de Chambly on tap, fantastic!

As far as pubs in the toronto area there are plenty to find. I had a wonderful experience @ the unicorn pub recently. Our server/bartender Jennifer was extremely friendly and fun for our group. We all felt as though she knew us personally. I know my memory is not great but she remembered all of our names and what we drank and she had never met usbefore. The service was phenomenal. The meals were above average for the price and pub fare. If you are looking for a quaint spot for a gathering book with Jennifer she is far beyond what a typical pub gal usually ranks and I think she should open her own place that smile and gift of gab will take her far......Darren - Toronto

Love the goat cheese panini. Out of all the Williams in the Tri-cities, this one seems the coziest. The staff are a little scattered but I enjoy coming here. Nice place to come and hangout over tea or coffee
