I have never made an appointment and I have never waited more than 10 minutes to get a haircut. Been going there for 10 years. I don’t always get the same hair stylist but the cut is always excellent and the staff are really nice and professional. I highly recommend Hair Mates.

I have been a customer here for approx 5 years. The staff takes the time to know the customers and learn about what they like. When i walk into House of Russell, I feel like family. They remember what hair style I like and know how to treat me. All of the hair dressers are experienced but keep very up to date on modern hair styles. I would recommend House of Russell to anyone who wants the service and attention of a high class salon without the high price. When you leave House of Russell, you will feel like you got your moneys worth every time. I dont even live in the area anymore but i make the 30 min commute to get my haircut here,

My wife guided me to Haircats as an excellent place to get my hair cut after her long time stylist, Anna, rented out one of the chairs there. Wow was she ever right! Anna cuts my hair as is she has been cutting it for the last 20 years. I've never had a stylist who has been able to know what to do to that will work with my hair so well. If Anna is not available it seems like all of the other stylists at this shop are a friendly group and the way the shop bustles almost all the time there seems to be a good amount of repeat clientele...always a good sign. They also offer a good selection of products and use those products in the salon as well. What's more the walls are ever changing with a rotating exhibition of art from local artists. If you see something you really like you can even buy it! Located near the corner of Broadway and MacDonald Haircats is centrally located and easy to get to or pop into as you stroll the shops of Broadway in Kits. If you are looking for a wonderful place to get your hair cut and styled Haircats is a great place to go!

Very friendly and professional. Definitely knows her business. I am extremely pleased with the cut she gave me. It is different than I have had before, but loving it. She showed me how to dry and style it. If I could give her more than 5 stars I would. I have fine hair and this was the best cut and style I have ever had! Laurie Robyn, Richmond hair stylist, recently did my husband's and my hair. The cuts were stylish and she did what we asked. My color was done correctly, no reds that don't belong on my brown hair. The salon was friendly, easy parking and we could avoid traffic because of its location at Blundell and Garden City. She is also very flexible with booking a time. My husband liked his haircut. I would recommend this shop and Laurie for a quality hair color and cut.
