We have been going to Bopomo faithfully every year for the past 4 years. Every time we go we have the same wonderful service, the same wonderful session and the same wonderful results we have come to expect. From the start to the finish this great photo studio takes their job of capturing your family photos seriously. With a wide variety of props including antique sleds, pedal cars, "snow", leaves, stuffed animals and more the photographic artists go out of their way to create unique and individual shots. Each session they truly go above and beyond in creating copious amounts of images for you to choose your favourites to print. And that is always the hardest part! They do their job so well that we often take far too long to choose our favourites! But we never feel rushed to make a decision, we never feel that we are bothering the staff who to a person great to deal with, we just get to decide what images we are going to use to capture our memories. Il y en a pour tous les goûts...le choix peut être difficile à faire tellement le présentoir est alléchant. Ils sont beaux mais tout aussi bons! Le resto est petit, pas idéal pour un grand groupe. Ils font des gâteaux sur demande pour occasions spéciales...mariages, etc...

This is a great little stop and eat Thai restaurant. They give you sit down meals at to-go prices. The decor is simple, bright, and very clean. There is no "Thai" decor except the King's picture, but they have a few tables as well as stool seating along window with a view of West Broadway .
I like this place because it's very fast and a really good value. Their Combo specials are under $10.00 and the lunch specials even cheaper! ( I think they are 7.99) The portions are perfect and for the price of a fast food meal you get authentic Thai curry and rice loaded with your choice of meat and veggies. It is almost all Thai people that work there and if you can handle the heat you can ask for "Thai style" and get the dishes with a much hotter spicy flavor.
So next time you are doing a little shopping on West Broadway and got a rumble in your stomach drop by!
They are located 1/2 a block West from MacDonald street on Broadway on the South Side of the street. They are fast, but if you want to take your time there is free parking on the side street next to them.

Thank goodness some people with foresight and vision saw the opportunity that presented itself when the Shaughnessy Golf course closed in the 60s. Saving a good chunk of the land from developers, the Vancouver Foundation, the Province and the City of Vancouver worked to establish this gem on part of the land once occupied by the golf course. The results are now here for all to see with charming little paths winding among the impressive variety of plants, shrubs, bushes and trees that are all carefully labeled throughout the grounds. There's even a fun and challenging hedge maze! The restaurant is a lovely place to go for a meal and the gardens seem an ideal spot to hold a wedding with great places for photo ops throughout the gardens. And Van Dusen continues to improve with a new visitor centre being built for 2011. The other thing that must be mentioned as a must see is the light show they put on every Christmas. Huge swaths of the gardens are lit up with thousands if not millions of lights. This is all complemented by a musically choreographed light show that happens regularly on the main pond. WIth snack booths offering hot chocolate and other goodies it is a great way to indulge in Christmas Spirit. Visit Van Dusen Gardens and enjoy a little tranquility in the middle of the city!
