We wandered around Ottawa for an hour before randomly selecting Fat Tuesday's. We heard the piano playing and just had to go see what it was like. The restaurant looked great and the piano was excellent background music. We started our meal with the alligator and it did not disappoint. Afterwards we got the proscuitto wrapped chicken. They had a slight issue with some of the chicken being undercooked, however, it was quickly fixed when it was brought to their attention. When we received the cooked meal we found that it was definitely worth the wait. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Despite the small problem we would recommend this restaurant to friends and family and will probably go back.

Went to this restaurant after watching "You Gotta Eat Here", was our first Poutine ever and it was quite delicious. I ate a fabulous sandwich and my sister said her sandwich was the best vegetarian sandwich she ever had.
Desserts looked really appealing but were not as amazing as we expected.
I think is a little overpriced, the first night we went, four entrees - four drinks was almost $90. Second time around one entree, four desserts and water $63.

We wanted to get am early lubch, so got in at opening time, precisly at 11.00 and were shown immediately to a table, only one customer arrived before us. We got the menu and iced water right away. There are 155 items on the menu, so we read for a while. The server took our order as soon as we were ready and the meal was served quite quickly. This was good, because the place filled up by about 11.45.
We were given our banana dessert before we had quite finished, but decided that was ok, given the crowd. Both meals, and our shared dessert were delicious.

We have been regulars for breakfast during the week and weekends. We will no longer be going there with your overboard increment. We always left a 5.00 tip for a regular breakfast. This is not going to help your staff - over 8.00 increase on a weekday before eleven breakfast . Goodbye....

Je suis un fervent des moules au quai mais lors de ma dernière visite j ai remarqué que les moules sont plus grosses et moins cuites donc je suis déçu du changemen pour les moules. Est ce que vous avez changé de fournisseur à par de ça le reste est excellent

I read all the reviews prior to making reservations there. It seemed to me that the bad reviews were from folks that did not know what to expect and were surprised when they got there. The web page is quite clear of the menu and venue. I saw it and was not surprised when I got into the restaurant.
We went for dinner before a show at the NAC. The server was at our table promptly and even asked if we were going to a show so that she could ensure our service and food would allow us plenty of time to get to the show. Very thoughtful and the service remained top notch throughout.
Our appetizers were great. Our dinners were very good, the fish was fresh, the steak was done exactly as asked, the duck confit melted in your mouth except for the crispy skin...which was perfect. The sides were appropriate for the meal and also delicious but the 3 root vegetable mash that came with the Duck was extraordinary and deserves mention..Some had desserts which were declared as a real treat.
We were in and out in time for our show but never hurried or short changed in our dinner. A very good experience overall. Pricey? Well, it was everything that was posted on the web page so no surprised at all. A very good spot with very good food and caring , professional servers.
Just what you want for a good night out.
