I needed 3 forklift rentals in the Coquitlam area. I found Leavitt online and visited their convenient location on Leeder street that afternoon. Within an hour I already had the right forklifts for my job. The price was right, the service quick and professional and the forklifts look pristine for rentals! I will be using Leavitt forklift rentals in the future.Lire plus

I give it five stars based upon what it is - a clean, safe, and most importantly, cheap place to stay downtown Vancouver. It is exactly what it purports to be. The rooms were almost funny they were so small but it had what you needed and nothing was scuzzy. Share it with a friend and it is the same price as a hostel. Everyone was friendly.Lire plus

I have been in and out of Physio Therapists offices for years and each one would give me more of the same exercises and...blah, blah, blah. Jessie gave me the most accurate and detailed description of my problems and designed an exercise program especially for me! It was simple and easy-to-follow, plus I asked her for a few simple ideas for exercises I can do at my desk, and she happily obliged!
Excellent treatments and a routine that was easily adaptible into my everyday life.Lire plus
I had such a positive experience at this clinic -- hence why I'm writing a review at midnight on a work night! LOL. Needless to say, I'm too thrilled to sleep ; ) So what happened is, one of my molars started breaking apart (the culprit: a caramel apple), and I didn't know what to do. I knew I'd have to have the tooth pulled, and was putting it off because I knew that this would leave a hole in my smile (and spending thousands on an implant just isn't ideal). It was making for awkward eating, so eventually I realized that I had to do the deed and just get the job done -- but my dentist is from my hometown of Kamloops, so I needed to look for one in Vancouver. I polled my friends on Facebook and Dr Jin & came so highly recommended that it was a no brainer to choose him. I called him that day and he worked around my schedule, staying late at the clinic to see me (I work downtown and the clinic is in BBY). When I got there, I was greeted with so much warmth from he and his wife that I was so glad that I'd chosen them -- and to my utter surprise, he SAVED the tooth. I don't know the proper term, but he basically fused my tooth together making it shiny and NEW again. It feels amazing. Instead of having a hole in my mouth and needing to worry about shelling out the big bucks for an implant, he did what I didn't think was possible. I'm so grateful for it because he could have gone the easy (and more lucrative) route, and charged me a whole lot more to do it. Ecstatic. Even though he's not in my neighbourhood I wouldn't go anywhere else. Excellent dentist. Bonus: he's funny too!Lire plus
Thank goodness some people with foresight and vision saw the opportunity that presented itself when the Shaughnessy Golf course closed in the 60s. Saving a good chunk of the land from developers, the Vancouver Foundation, the Province and the City of Vancouver worked to establish this gem on part of the land once occupied by the golf course. The results are now here for all to see with charming little paths winding among the impressive variety of plants, shrubs, bushes and trees that are all carefully labeled throughout the grounds. There's even a fun and challenging hedge maze! The restaurant is a lovely place to go for a meal and the gardens seem an ideal spot to hold a wedding with great places for photo ops throughout the gardens. And Van Dusen continues to improve with a new visitor centre being built for 2011. The other thing that must be mentioned as a must see is the light show they put on every Christmas. Huge swaths of the gardens are lit up with thousands if not millions of lights. This is all complemented by a musically choreographed light show that happens regularly on the main pond. WIth snack booths offering hot chocolate and other goodies it is a great way to indulge in Christmas Spirit. Visit Van Dusen Gardens and enjoy a little tranquility in the middle of the city!Lire plus
If you've seen my review on the Water Street location you know that i love Fluevog Shoes. This location has been around for years and is a great place to check out when you're downtown. Offering a great selection of Fluevogs they are a great place to go when you're in need of some seriously funky footwear. This is also where I go when I have worn my Fluevog soles down and need to renew my shoes. Check them out, they are a Vancouver institution!Lire plus
