I recently used Buy Sell & Trade to get rid of a bunch of stuff around my house. I registered on their site and had some trouble so sent an email to their web master. He phoned me in the evening (ok, I was shocked!) and walked me through getting registered. I posted my stuff and within 20 minutes had received my first call. Best of all, all the ads online are also printed in their paper. To me that kinda covers all the off line people. I'm pleased with how easy the process is to use their site and that all the ads are checked for scams.

Valhalla staff helped us pick out some great cloths for our trip overseas. We look great in our vacation photos with our Valhalla stuff and were comfortable too.

Thank goodness some people with foresight and vision saw the opportunity that presented itself when the Shaughnessy Golf course closed in the 60s. Saving a good chunk of the land from developers, the Vancouver Foundation, the Province and the City of Vancouver worked to establish this gem on part of the land once occupied by the golf course. The results are now here for all to see with charming little paths winding among the impressive variety of plants, shrubs, bushes and trees that are all carefully labeled throughout the grounds. There's even a fun and challenging hedge maze! The restaurant is a lovely place to go for a meal and the gardens seem an ideal spot to hold a wedding with great places for photo ops throughout the gardens. And Van Dusen continues to improve with a new visitor centre being built for 2011. The other thing that must be mentioned as a must see is the light show they put on every Christmas. Huge swaths of the gardens are lit up with thousands if not millions of lights. This is all complemented by a musically choreographed light show that happens regularly on the main pond. WIth snack booths offering hot chocolate and other goodies it is a great way to indulge in Christmas Spirit. Visit Van Dusen Gardens and enjoy a little tranquility in the middle of the city!

If you've seen my review on the Water Street location you know that i love Fluevog Shoes. This location has been around for years and is a great place to check out when you're downtown. Offering a great selection of Fluevogs they are a great place to go when you're in need of some seriously funky footwear. This is also where I go when I have worn my Fluevog soles down and need to renew my shoes. Check them out, they are a Vancouver institution!

The Inn at Laurel Pointe is spectacular to say the least. The property is located between downtown and james bay right on the waterfront. I have attended many weddings here and you really cannot beat the picturesque scenery from outside the dining hall. Watch the sunset over the mountains from your delux room while enjoying a glass of champagne. This property is definitely in my top 3 for Victoria. Whether you are a local or visiting you will not regret spending an evening here.

I have been to many many shows at the McPherson - I really enjoy that the theatre is so nice a big - and the quality of show is always very high. My wife is also a performer and has performed in some shows there as well and I know that she really enjoys working there as well - because she says the facility in general is very nice and the staff is great.

My wife is a big theatre fan - and I can always count on the Belfry to have something that we will both really enjoy. Paired with a nice dinner it is a great night out! You can pre-book seats and even buy a snack to pair with your show.

Copeman Healthcare has treated me with the utmost care and courtesy possible. They were very professional and the difference between attending an appointment at the Copeman Clinic and your typical non private health clinic is remarkable. I recently hired Scannell for 3 hours to move some large pieces between homes. I was a bit worried as my sister had a bad experience with other movers and I couldn't find any positive reviews to pick from. so I requested quotes from 4 movers and settled on Scannell, as they provide an all in hourly rate price, without extra surcharges.
The movers were great, they were running a little late but when they arrived you never would have known they were working by the hour. They were very quick, careful with everything they moved and really made me feel comfortable with them moving my items. They were even able to get a few pieces into my new basement without damage that I didnt' even think would fit.
Overall a very positive expereience and I woul defnitely recommend them to anyone.
