I wish to draw attention to a young man (I believe his name is Johnny) who works at the gas station on Ellice & Wall. He is one of the nicest young men (very friendly and helpful). It is a pleasure to deal with him. I always fill my gas tank at that station and find that all the people working the pumps are friendly and nice, but Johnny is the best.

We strolled into Red Top for a quick lunch. Before I start anything else I must let you know not to get a soft drink unless you like getting ripped off. Why do I say this, because you get a small glass plus there are no free refills :O . Now to continue. We each had water because of the above and we ordered a cheezy burger and a top burger both with fries. The meal quickly came since we beat out the lunch rush. The meals both were well proportioned and for the price it was very well worth it. The whole meal cost us under 13 dollars. As another side note, they have the coolest hand dryers!

A new way to keep the economy local and find Made in Manitoba products. Some items are a little more expensive, but are made up by the member cheques at the end of the year. I like the opportunity to have my grocery and pharmacy budget help more than my family.

We came here for our New Years dinner last night. Although my first impression of the place wasn’t great, my mind quickly changed. Our server Laurel was amazing! I asked if I could swap the soup for a salad and with no hesitation she said it wouldn’t be a problem. We had the calamari to start. It was a huge portion. For our main course we ordered the filet mignon. I ordered it blue, my boyfriend ordered his rare and both were spot on perfect! We will definitely be going back!
