I am confused by the "American" designation, since it is clearly German, right down to the delicious spaetzle and red cabbage. (You can only get the red cabbage if you ask, it isn't on the menu.)
The schnitzels are very good, with ample portions. (We have never tried the homemade desserts -- too full!) The meat is tender and set off well by the fine breading. My husband has tried every schnitzel on the menu, and has a hard time declaring a favourite - he enjoys them all.
The coffee is very good, the warm bun that comes prior to the meal is a nice treat. The service is usually very pleasant. A little more than a standard lunch in terms of cost, but worth it.

Often dine here. Service extremely friendly & food generally well prepared & tasty. Close to the boat locke & worth a look after your meal. A consistently good place to eat with friends.

I have been coming to this restaurant for almost 10 years now. I love Scrambles! My eyes are always perfect and so is my bacon, they have the best hash browns going. The prices are great and the staff is friendly. When I lived in Toronto I would drive here on Sundays just to east their specialty pancakes! Amazing! Pumpkin and strawberry rhubarb are my favorites! This place is packed on weekends, but I usually don't make it out for breakfast till noon anyways. I have and still will always revoked Scrambles to all.

Had a walnut tart that was simply delicious at the ribfest. Only wanted a portion as I have been dieting so bought one small. When I ate it later at home I was so happy I only bought one as I would have at the whole six it was so good. Thank Mr.WALL

Rather standard fare but a pleasant place to eat. Food is reliably prepared. There is an outside deck with tables & chairs if the weather is good. Interesting decor.Good draft beer.

I had an amazing time at this Diner. My friend recommended it to me. My friends and I went to the diner on the weekend it was a little packed but that was fine. The waitress showed us to a sit in the corner with a great big smile on her face and asking us how are day has been so far. It was my first time there so I asked the waitress what was one of her favorite things to eat here, she said the open faced hot turkey and the California scramble. So at her recommendations i picked the California scramble. It’s a toasted muffin with scrambled eggs with green peppers and tomatoes mixed into it with a little bit of hollandaise sauce and feta sprinkled onto it with home fries on the side. And not even 7 minutes later our food is all ready coming out to us; I couldn’t believe it came out so fast. It looked and tasted great.

All their food is great. I am in love with their Wonton Noodle soup and come in regularly to have for my lunch....so yummy with lots of noodles & homemade pork wontons. I highly recommend this restaurant!
