Go for the food and stay for the entertainment. On the food side, this place does a great job. Start with the wings, lots of flavours. Move onto the Hunan Noodle Bowl with shrimp, you won't be disappointed or go with the burger, always a good choice. Most nights features some sort of entertainment.

Servicing the business sector of downtown Calgary, West Restaurant is a great place to have lunch with colleagues or clients. The atmosphere is very modern and populated with business clientele, the service is quick, the pricing is reasonable, and the food is delicious.
The only challenge I had was that I didn't make a reservation for lunch, and at 11:30 it was very busy and our table of 3 just about did not get in. There isn't any signage in ScotiaBank (as of posting May 21, 2010) as to where to go, at least I couldn't see it, so you have to make your way to the 2nd floor to enter the restaurant.
Overall, I would visit West restaurant again.

If you are looking for a great place to meet up with friends to have some drinks and watch some sports, St. James Corner is the perfect atmosphere. It has flat screens positioned everywhere so you can enjoy the game and still socialize. The crowd is varies, it's not too young and not too old. The best part about St.James Corner for me is the food. Favorite menu items that are must: Mini Yorkies, Mini Sliders, Sweet Potato Fries, and the Nachos. Bathrooms are located downstairs but are always clean. The staff is very attentive and efficient.

I love the idea of having half the place be a bar with dancing and club (dance) music and then the other half of the place is a pub style with seats. Awesome concept., good times.

With over 100 beers to choose from this bar is unique. I love the atmosphere and decoration and it's fine trying a new beer you would have never thought to try. Always a good time!
