These guys are simply the kindest hairdressers out there and are very good. You need to be specific about what you want and they will do it and do it well! I am very pleased by their kindness and just being very soft-spoken, gentle people. The look of the place is very cool retro with pictures of Elvis and Marilyn Monroe on the walls. Great people. After only one two hour lesson, I could say things like, “I’m hot / cold / busy / tired.”, and “I like apples.” I was engaged in conversation; “Hello, how are you? I’m good, and you? I’m good too!”, “What’s your name? ... My name is… I’m happy to meet you!”, “I understand. / I don’t understand.” – all IN Mandarin Chinese. This is no small achievement on the part of teacher or student, especially if the first and second languages are as far apart as English and Mandarin. It’s only possible when the teacher is able to foster a learning environment that brings out the best in their students.
