    Ingrid has so many beautiful fabrics, patterns and classes to suit everyone, from beginner to pro. The staff are always so helpful, every time I go in there I am inspired.

    Ingrid Machtemes’ passion for quilting began in her teenage years and still shows no signs of waning. Before her business Quiltessential Co. opened in 2003, she had already been operating a home-based quilting and teaching business for years. “While I had been working from home, I was putting all my profit back into the business,” Ingrid says. “And I built up inventory and a client base so that I could open a store.”

    Quiltessential Co. now offers a huge variety of quilting supplies such as quilting fabrics, kits, patterns and notions. As a one-stop shop for avid quilters, the store also provides quilting classes and additional services, including machine repairs and scissor sharpening.
