Rays has the best wings in Essex county. I make a bi weekly trip there and most of the time I order the wings which are above average size and the best quality.. Rays ribs are also far above average and better than those famous windsor ribs. If you like ribs and chicken this is a must try place.
Out-of-towners and went based on reviews from this site. We were VERY impressed - food quality and quantity was excellent and the service was wonderful! Why this place isn't packed is a mystery! Homemade baked beans, coleslaw and simply amazing ribs!
I hadn't been to Rays in a long time and had forgotten just how good the food is. I ordered the full rack of ribs with hot and spicy sauce; my wife ordered the 1/2 pound of perch special. Both meals arrived hot, fast and well presented. And as usual the food was fantastic. The ribs were very tender - the meat practially fell off the bones. The sauce was spicy but not overpowering and the hand-cut fries were just right. And the baked beans that come with each meal as an appetizer were simply delicious. My wifes' perch was lightly breaded and done just right.
Service was excellent. Fast, friendly and courteous. We wont' wait so long to enjoy Rays Ribhouse again. Highly recommended!

As a vegetarian, it is an extreme pleasure to be able to order something straight off of the menu. Ray's Ribhouse is the only restaurant that I know of that serves a vegetarian tomato sauce on pasta! Others only have fettuccini alfredo. And at a ribhouse! I love this place!
