Legends Sports opened their doors to the community in 2006 after humble beginnings operating from a janitor's closet in Oshawa's Legends Arena. The new and used sporting goods store was begun by Steven Araujo, who was later joined by Daniel Archamdault. Steven and Daniel's motto is “beginners wanted...legends made,” which is especially apt in the sports community of Oshawa.
There has always been a demand for sporting goods, especially for hockey in the winter and bikes in the summer. “Steven began collecting increments in garage sales and online,” says Daniel. “Literally wherever he could find stuff, and then he began stockpiling his parents' basement.”
