Doug Miller has always loved to read. “I read books from an early age," he says. "I amassed large quantities of books throughout my childhood and into my teens and I decided that this was what I wanted to do with the rest of my life.”
As Doug’s collection of books grew, he started selling them to individual collectors and book dealers that he found through Yellow Pages. Using the profits to purchase more used books for his library, his hobby grew until in 1990, it transformed into a full-fledged Moss Park storefront, simply named Doug Miller Books. Over the years, the shop has moved locations three times, eventually settling on a lively section of Bloor Street in Toronto’s Koreatown.
