.......you want to go back! The Blackshire is a great place to have a beer.Recently taken over by new owners, this place has a new life. Most food is locally sourced and the beer has a local theme too. Sonita tries to get beer from within 100 miles of the pub, and a lot of the food is sourced from the same area. The menu is upscale pub food with a seasonal twist. Spring Leek Salad, Local Lamb, Crab Apple Salad, fondue with cheese made with local beer, etc.I usually get the fondue as the portion is huge and it is about $10.00, or I get wings in the evening when they are half price. FIre and ice are great!The place has a large patio which is usually fairly busy. Inside, it is typical pub decor with a homey feel to it. Pub quiz night is a solid night to go on to get to know the owners and regulars. I find it better to go to the bar to order your drinks, as table service can be a bit lacking. Taps total 20, including Railway City, Stratford, Creemore,Black Oak, Great Lakes, Steamwhistle, and the bottle selection is limited but has included many micros. I’ll return for the harder to get Ontario micros they seem to always get. Worth checking out.

Well all i can say is they must have improved the food since the reviews here were written.. we recently stopped in on a saturday afternoon.. we ordered burgers and fries and the burgers were HUGE slabs of sirloin beef , cooked to perfection and very very tasty. The fries were good, and the sweet potato fries were AWESOME. our server was friendly, fast and attentive. Yes the place is dark, but its supposed to be. We will go back for sure, most likely for a dinner of fish and chips. I could NOT finish my burger it was so big, and asked for a container which was promptly provided.

I can not say enough about how good my experience was with "PAWZ ABOVE THE REST". I am a new "puppy" owner and was very worried about where to take my "Tucker" for his cuts. My first experience with another groomer was not great so then I heard that a new groomer was in my area I thought I would try it out. I have now found my "groomer for life". Not only is Michelle a wonderful groomer, she is excellent with my puppy and the shop is clean, neat and very professional. I was extremely happy with his cut and will continue to go back. I highly recommend trying "PAWZ ABOVE THE REST"

Historic building that is supposedly haunted, real pub feel, good vibe, friendly servers. Has a large and really cool cobble stone court yard patio that feels like you're sitting in the 1800's.
I don't eat here alot but the food is good, wings, nachos and standard pub fare.
The owners Marco and Angelo are class acts and always take the time to personally welcome regular customers back.
Its kinda like Cheers because they always know your name and they are always glad you came.
It gets pretty hopping at night and is a good spot for single guys and gals if you know what I mean ;)

We just got married on June 19 (2010) and used The Party Centre for our tent, chair, table, linens, soundsystem, and lighting. They were extremely professional, and accomodated all of our requests. This company was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend them.

You thought Taste of the Caribbean was good before! Well, come see it now! RECENTLY RENOVATED! The food is still the best I've ever tasted and its just beautiful inside. Marvin always has a smile on his face and a pep in his step! LUV TASTE OF THE CARIBBEAN!

I rated this Keg a 4 but that is a balance of infleucnes because there is a good side and a down side. The good: the cleavage OR the mini-skirts. Notice that checking out some cleavage on young ladies or short skirts is pure entertainment and super. BUt for some very strange reason no waitress has both of them. Its either this or that. What is the story? I dont know. The girls with cleavage have pants, the girls in minis have no cleavage. STRANGE>
the other down side is the kids. People, if you have three kids can you ask them to stay at home or leave their baseball caps at home? this is a high class restaurant. There is a burger place around the corner did you mean to take them there?
I am not going to come back and order alcohol if there are kids around.
The steak was good, the wine was what we wanted and at a reasonable price and my date was the hottest blondie in the whole place but.... (see above)

This place is fabulous! We managed to get seats at the bar ( having realized that you need a reservation; plenty of other have the same idea when it comes to Sunday Brunch... ) and were treated to a culinary feast with one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. The menu is short but extremely well designed with each dish a perfect harmony of exquisite flavors. My boyfriend and I shared the Salmon Benny and the BLT, both were mouth wateringly amazing. I would highly recommend anyone who likes brunch to take the trip to Eugenia and visit the Flying Chestnut, it is well worth the drive!

There is no other place in town that makes you feel so comfortable. The staff go out of their way to get to know you.
The ribs could probably win at rib fest in London if they entered, and the beer battered Halibut is delicious!

I've never even heard of this place. Plus Ouderkirk sounds like a whitey. Four thumbs down for this one. I walked by this place and saw a cool hipster in strange coloured pants and a wool sweater take a photo of the window. For what reason I don't know.

We had a reservation, and although they had a party going on in the private room the service was fine. They warned us they were really busy but I didn't find it slow. They had a great variety of stuff for the kids, but also for those of us who tend to stay away from carbs.
I had the liver with extra veggies instead of potato and it was really good....it was two large pieces and I took one home. The kids loved the fish and chips and pasta, and my husband had a pasta as well, which he really enjoyed.
This would be a great place to go after a day of skiing when you are REALLY hungry as the portions are very generous!

After a movie date we were trying to get into one of the places beside the movie theatre but the wait was too long. One of the party suggested the Galway Arms close by. I've never been and I surprised to have a place with good food, service and atmosphere in the area that I hadn't heard of. And I hear its been there for 20 years too!!!
We all ordered something different from the menu so we could try different things. Nachos to start - nice big portion with lots of veggies and with lots of cheese. We discovered that the Irish Stew, Shephards Pie, Burgers and Steak and Mushroom Pie were all homemade - so different from the ones you get elsewhere and you could choose if you wanted fries, salad, mashed potatoes or soup with your order. I had the Louisiana Chicken Wrap which was very tasty but its a very large portion so you'll have lunch for tomorrow. Everything was hot and really good and large enough that some of us took leftovers home. Those that didn't cleared our plates!!!!! We were divided on the fries as not all of us were big fans of the hand cut fries but those that did like them loved them - soaked in vinegar.
Our server remembered everything (including all of the weird requests) without writing it down and everything came out exactly as ordered. She gave us very prompt service and was naturally friendly to us and even took time to talk to one of the guys who was thinking of a trip to Ireland by telling him when the flights would be cheaper, ideal times to visit, places in Dublin to visit etc. We've decided to make this our after movie treat from now on and look forward to the patio in the summer.

Big, juicy & FLAVOURFUL!! Honey garlic is incredible, the best I have ever EVER had.
Medium is quite hot so be prepared if you can't stand the heat, maybe go with mild.
Usually we get a salad or drinks to start while we wait (as the service isn't the best). Although now they are giving you salsa & chips when you sit down which is great! Sometimes it's hard to find a table on Wed's at dinner time though as seating is limited.
