We did read a lot of reviews about the David Duncan House and were a bit skeptical about dining here last week, We had some friends in from out of town and decided to come here for dinner,We did however drop by one afternoon and looked around and picked up a menu, We had a reservation for 6.30 pm, got seated in the lower level,nice round table in the corner, The servers were yes a bit old school but very kind and did answer all our questions.Ordered some cocktails and got some galic bread,pickles and cottage cheese, We started of with a caeser for 4 that was prepared table side, All I can say is that is was to die for,Crispy romaine rich thick salad dressing made from the scratch. Main dishes were Rack of lamb,Filet mignon,Dover sole,and Prime Rib,We also had a bottle of red shiraz that the server recommended for 39.95 that was a great complimant to our meals,I myself had the Dover sole and my wife the filet, All of our meals were very good, The vegetables were ok a bit bland,the baked and mashed potatos were good, The servers were around when needed and did look after us through our evening, We did not have any dessert just some coffee and tea, Our friends have beev raving about this place to all there friends and made it a point to tell us when ever they visit us we will be going to the David Duncan House , In my opinion the reataurant was great, Not over priced a good meal and experienced servers, It is a dining room from the past era that has been around for a long time so I guess they are donig something right, My wife and I will be visiting again soon as we enjoyed our eveing with our friends,

Ok fine, the atmosphere isn't what you call "good".
However, the food is actually quite good. The soup/ramen is tasty, the service is quite good. (they even welcome you by saying hello in Japanese and bye in Jap when you leave!)

We were there last evening for a confirmation. The food, atmosphere and staff were top notch! We came from hamilton and would definitely drive back to eat in this establishment again.

Had a fabulous Chicken Goat Cheese Burito - best I've ever had.
Friend had a Grilled Tuna Salad, also excellent.
Service was cheerful and quick even though restaurant was full.
Would definitely recommend.

If you have a party of six and want to eat during dinner house, make a reservation. There are lineups at dinner time with hungry duos and foursomes forming a line that snakes all the way to the cases of steaming ducks, chickens and succulent pigs where you can get fantastic BBQ takeout. I once took a couple of pounds of BBQ pork to a small birthday party, and it was all gone by the time my spouse parked the car. This restaurant provides excellent food at reasonable prices if you order the dinner for 4, or 6, or however many there are in your party. The menu is fixed, but flexible in the choice of appetizers. The meal begins with broth, and appetizers but ends up with so many different dishes that the table groans. The food is fresh and dellcious homestyle Cantonese cooking. The waiters are generally efficient and capable of handling the crowds on weekends. Lots of free parking.

well my cappuccino was missing the coffee part - that's right - there was no coffee - only frothed milk. why i didn't say anything? ... I must say their decor is great and that outdoor patio is quite amazing. the waiter and waitress that both checked up on us were great as well. definitely worth checking out.

Every time I go to downtown Toronto, I often stop by this place for their BBQ pork ramen. They serve many other different kinds of ramen, and I found them to be delicious. The service is very quick and the restaurant interior is unique and interesting. Great place!

Our first visit to Ithaca was wonderful! We’ll be back and are telling everyone who will listen, what a terrific experience we had. All staff are so friendly and gracious that it felt like we were in their home. The meals were beautifully prepared and presented and brought to the table with such a sense of pride and fun. We had many questions and each were answered with patience and and an ease of knowledge. Our family and friends cannot thank you enough!

Excellent food made by people who care. The Chicken Roti is excellent. Spiced just right, and a good sized portions. The meal is fresh, made to order and the service friendly. My kids are now big fans of Caribbean food. The Doubles are also very good. The Jerk Chicken and Ox Tails are delicious. My family and I get take out here about once every three weeks. A neighborhood gem.

This is a low lit, romantic, swish place. Not too big, and sometimes not too busy due to its location I think. But its a secret that a few people I have met RAVE about. Good italian food is not difficult, it's just about the ingredients and l'amore. These dishes I had were outstanding, and you know that feeling when it surprises you?! I can't wait to go back.

Decided too have breakfast for dinner last night. Pauline was our server. Very friendly, quick service and gave great suggestions. We had the veggie omelet and meatlovers skillet. Excellent choice. Love the 50's feel. Made a great close to a stressful day.
